I've been playing noise music for a decade with Jim Hegarty. Sometimes with Paul Steinbeck, Michael Formanek, or Willem VonHombracht on bass. It's a difficult style to play. Working to give energy and intention without a clear formula or path for success. Yet I feel the objective is the same as in other styles. We're reaching for those moments that are so good we just want to linger in them. We're simply taking less frequently utilized paths to find them. I'm proud to release Pleiades as my first free music album as a leader and in a duo setting with Jim Hegarty on electronics.
